Lockwood sits just east of Billings across the Yellowstone River, and it's one of the fastest-growing communities in the county, with new homes filling in around the established neighborhoods near the schools. It still keeps a more rural, spread-out feel than Billings proper: bigger lots, more outdoor dogs, and plenty of pups that spend their days in the yard rather than on the couch. That lifestyle is great for dogs and hard on coats. Burrs, dust, river mud, and undercoat build up fast on Lockwood dogs, and the I-90 interchange puts our Central Avenue salon about ten minutes from most Lockwood driveways.

Why Lockwood customers need this work
Outdoor-living Lockwood dogs tend to come to us needing more than a quick rinse. Heavy brush-outs, de-shedding treatments for double-coated yard dogs, and dematting work are everyday requests from this side of the river. Nail care matters here too, since dogs that run on grass and dirt don't wear their nails down the way pavement dogs do, so regular trims with a smooth Dremel finish keep Lockwood pups comfortable. And for families adopting rescues, our patient, no-force approach to anxious dogs makes the first grooming experiences calm ones.
Recent work in the Lockwood area
Lockwood dog owners are just a quick hop across the Yellowstone River from The Puppy Parlor's salon on Central Avenue in Billings. We give Lockwood pups the full range of care: complete grooms, breed-specific haircuts, baths, de-shedding treatments, and gentle Dremel nail trims, all from a groomer rated 5.0 stars on Google. Open seven days a week, so the drive over fits your schedule, not the other way around.
Lockwood customers choose us because we treat every project like it's our own — no upselling, no surprises, just straightforward work that gets the job done right.
Whether you live in Lockwood or just need a reliable team nearby, we're a short drive from Billings and happy to walk you through every recommendation before any work begins.
From most of Lockwood, our salon is roughly a ten-minute drive, closer than many of the grooming options on the far side of Billings. That short hop gets you a 5.0-star groomer who knows fur types and breed standards, takes genuine time with nervous dogs, and remembers your dog from visit to visit. We're also open Saturdays and Sundays, which matters for Lockwood's working families. For the cost of crossing the river, your dog gets small-shop care instead of an assembly-line groom.
